The BRICS Health Journal is the project between the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Sechenov University and all the BRICS countries.

In May 2022, the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation proposed the idea of creating an international scientific journal The BRICS; within the framework of the BRICS health ministers’ meeting to strengthen cooperation between the BRICS countries in the field of medicine and science. The idea was supported by all countries.  As a result of the initiative, a concept note was prepared and sent to all BRICS countries extending an invitation to participate in the project and present the programme article for the first issue of The BRICS Health Journal.
