Author Guidelines
The BRICS Health Journal publishes original research articles, reviews, and letters to the editor on topics related to healthcare.
Only original works that have not been previously published, including those in another language, are accepted for consideration.

Formatting guide
Article checklist (necessary requirements)
- File requirements: format (except illustrations): .doc or .docx.
- Text language: English
- Text should be 1.5-spaced.
- Body text size should be 12 pt.
- Articles should be no longer than 7,000 words (excluding references)
- Title of the manuscript (up to 20 words)
- Authors and affiliations.
- Information about authors: surname, name.
- Information about affiliation: name of the institution, address with country, city, postal code
- Abstract (200 - 250 words).
- Keywords (5-8 keywords that do not appear in the title itself)
- Additional information for the corresponding author: e-mail, address.
- Ethics statements.
- Data availability.
- Competing interests. All authors are required to disclose any financial and personal relationships that might influence their work on the article.
- Financial support. All sources of funding should be declared. If the work had no funding source, the authors should also state this.
- Abbreviations list. For all abbreviations: do not abbreviate unless a term is used more than three times in the manuscript. In this case, the term should be spelled out the first time it is used in the text, followed by the abbreviation in parentheses, and then the abbreviation should be used for all other instanced in the text.
- The main manuscript. References should be numbered consecutively in the order in which they are cited in the text. All references cited in the text must be both listed and cited by the reference number. Use superscript Arabic numerals.
- Authors' contributions. All authors should specify their contributions in accordance with the CRediT authorship contribution statement https://www.elsevier.com/researcher/author/policies-and-guidelines/credit-author-statement .
- Information about the authors: academic degree, academic title, position, employment, ORCID.
- References (AMA style)
- All figures submitted must be owned solely by the author(s). Manuscripts should contain no more than 8 figures and tables. Figures should be in separate files in the highest resolution available (at least 300 dpi). Legends should be supplied for all figures. Figures submitted in colour will be published in colour.
The Editorial Board reserve the right to shorten and correct articles, change the design of graphs, figures and tables to bring them in line with the standard of the journal, without changing the meaning of the information provided.
All submitted articles are subject to plagiarism screening. In the event of excessive self-citation and/or inappropriate borrowing, the editors will act in accordance with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) recommendations, as detailed in the following link: https://publicationethics.org
